Andre Russell Scored the Fastest Fifty of CPL on Just 14 balls
Andre Russell batted for Jamaica Tallawas in the 18th over. Batting at number 5, he played only 14 balls and set a new record. Andre Russell now holds the record for the fastest fifty in Caribbean Premier League CPL history. Russell hit six sixes on his way to an unbeaten 50 off 14 balls.

Wahab Riaz gave 32 runs in his last over to the Russell. Obed McCoy, who took 3 wickets for 2 runs in the 18th over, gave 22 runs in the last over. Jamaica averaged the second-highest team collection in CPL history. Jamaica averaged 255 runs in 20 overs with an unbeaten 50 off 14 balls. They beat St. Lucia Kings by 135 runs on an average of 120 runs to win the match.
Earlier, Jamaica lost the toss and elected to bat. Everyone from number one to number three scored 40+ runs. Chadwick Walton (46 off 29 balls), Kenner Lewis (48 off 21 balls) and Haider Ali (45 off 32 balls) scored runs. Robman Powell made 36 off 26 balls. But in the end, Andre Russell took away all the light.
Rakhim Cornwall made 14 off 3 balls to chase the big target. However, he returned to the toilet with the next ball. After that, Singapore’s Tim David (57 off 26 balls) who came down to No. 6, only resisted. St. Lucia was bowled out for 135 in 16.3 overs after losing wickets at regular intervals. Jamaica won by 120 runs, the best man of the match was Andre Russell.
