IND vs ENG 2021: Dawid Malan and Saqib Mahmood included in England’s Squad To Play 3rd Test Against India
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced a 15-member squad for the 3rd Test vs India. Opener Dawid Malan has been called up to the Test squad after three years while the fast bowler Saqib Mahmood has also joined the England team to play the 3rd Test match against India 2021.
The first Test of the series was drawn due to rain. India won the second Test full of excitement and excitement. After that ECB brought change to the team. Dawid Malan played in the last Test of India in 2016. He was dropped from the national team due to continuous failure of service. But at the same time established himself in the team in limited-overs. Malan was called up to the Test team again in recognition of his good performance in domestic cricket.
Opener Dom Sibley has been dropped from the squad to make room for Malan. Also missing are Jack Crowley and Jack Leach. Fast bowler Stuart Broad was injured just before the second Test. Saqib Mahmood was called to the team instead. However, he was sent to play county cricket as he did not get a chance in the second Test XI.
Saqib was called up again for the third Test squad. With Moin Ali in the squad, Jack Leach’s chances of getting a place in the XI are nil. So he was sent to Somerset. However, he will be the standby of the England team. Fast bowler Mark Wood may miss the third Test due to injury. Shakib Mahmud can get a place in the team instead.
