Indian Premier League: Hasaranga and Chameera Get NOC To Play in IPL 2021
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has allowed NOC to Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera to play in the remaining part of the Indian Premier League IPL 2021. Katara uncertainty, for the first time in the jersey of Bangalore IPL stage Matabe Hasaranga-Chamira pair.
In a statement today (August 29), the SLC confirmed that Hasaranga and Chamira have received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the IPL 2021. Hasaranga and Chamira will be able to join the Royal Challengers Bangalore team from September 15 (after the series against South Africa).
However, the SLC has also set a time limit for his return to the national team. The Sri Lankan national team will play two practice matches before the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers. The two players will join the Sri Lanka squad for the matches on October 10.
Royal Challengers Bangalore have picked Sri Lanka leg-spinning all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga and pacer Dushmantha Chamira for the rest of the 2021 IPL. After that, uncertainty was created about these two Sri Lankan cricketers playing in the IPL. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said at the time that Hasaranga and Chamira had not applied for a No Objection Certificate (NOC). However, these two Sri Lankan cricketers got the good news by overcoming the uncertainty.
The Bangalore franchise has signed Hasaranga as a replacement for Aussie spinner Adam Jumper for the rest of the 2021 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Dushmantha Chamira has been named the second Sri Lankan to replace RCB’s, Daniel Sam.
The rest of the IPL, which was cut in half due to corona, is starting in the UAE before the World Cup. The rest of the IPL will start from September 19. The final will be played on October 15.
