Ireland and UAE Secure Their Place in the T20 World Cup 2022

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022: Ireland and UAE Secure Their Place in the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. Ireland and the United Arab Emirates have confirmed their place in the World Twenty20 in Australia. The Irish have secured the World Cup for the seventh time in a row after losing to Oman in a global qualifier. On the other hand, the United Arab Emirates lost to Nepal to get a place in the World Cup.

Ireland made it to the global qualifiers after failing to advance to the Super Twelve in the last T20 World Cup. They have ensured the World Cup by keeping their influence there. The Irish will play in the World Cup in smaller editions for the seventh time in a row. Ireland failed to secure a place in the first edition of the T20 World Cup. However, this European country made its presence known in the next seven editions.

On the other hand, the United Arab Emirates got the opportunity to play in the T20 World Cup for the second time. They took this opportunity by defeating Nepal by 6 runs. Earlier, the UAE played in the 2014 T20 World Cup.

Ireland and the United Arab Emirates are ranked 13th and 14th, respectively. Two more teams from the global qualifiers will qualify for the World Cup.

Ireland scored 165 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the match to secure a place in the World Cup. Oman’s innings were reduced to 109 runs in reply. On the other hand, UAE made 175 runs for the loss of 6 wickets against Nepal. In reply, Nepal’s innings stopped at 108 runs.

Nepal started the race for a place in the World Cup by winning the first three matches of the tournament. However, after losing to the United Arab Emirates, Nepal dropped out of the race for a place in the World Cup.
