IRE vs ZIM 2021: Ireland Announced Their Squad For The Series Against Zimbabwe 2021

Cricket Ireland has announced their squad for the ODI and T20 series against Zimbabwe 2021 at home. William Porterfield and Neil Rock have returned to the side after recovering from injuries. Also, newcomers to the 18-member squad are Graham Kennedy and Curtis Camper.

Although he made his ODI debut for the Irish, Curtis Camper has yet to get a chance in the T20 squad. Graham Kennedy also got a chance in the team for the first time. Regular captain Andrew Balberny will lead the series against Zimbabwe.

William Porterfield was not in the last South Africa series due to injury. Neil Rock missed the series against the Proteas due to coronavirus infection. Both have been named in the Zimbabwe series squad.

Curtis Camper has already played 10 ODIs for Ireland. He has scored 359 runs at an average of 51.28 with the bat in his ODI career. There are 4 half-centuries in it. He has taken 6 wickets in 5.6 economies with the ball.

The 22-year-old camper has been called up to the Ireland T20 squad for his outstanding performance with the bat and ball. Graham Kennedy has been performing well in domestic cricket recently.

Kennedy has taken 6 wickets in the last 10 matches in domestic cricket. He also scored 152 runs with the bat. Kennedy is basically a bowling all-rounder. Towards the end, he is adept at making storms with the bat. Kennedy has been called up for the ODI series.

Zimbabwe will play a warm-up match against Ireland Wolves in Europe. William Porterfield will lead the Irish Wolves there. The series against Zimbabwe will be played on Friday (July 26). The Irish will play a three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe as well as a five-match T20 series.
