IPL 2021: Jos Buttler Will Not Play the Remaining Part of the IPL

The Rajasthan Royals have announced that Jos Buttler and his wife Lewis are expecting their second child. This is why Jos Buttler will not be able to play in the remaining part of the IPL 2021. The franchise wishes Buttler and his family all the best. Like Jos Buttler, Rajasthan will not get the services of Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes for the rest of the tournament IPL 2021.

Rajasthan Royals are not very comfortable in IPL (Indian Premier League) 2021. Rajasthan Royals are at No. 5 in the points table with 3 wins after playing 6 matches before being suspended due to corona. The Royals camp broke the bad news before starting the rest of the tournament in the UAE. They are not getting the service of Jos Buttler there.

Jos Buttler, the 7th highest run-scorer of the tournament (254) who played 6 matches in this year’s edition, is the only captain to score more runs for Rajasthan than Sanju Samson (26).

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals have also found a replacement for the rest of the tournament. They have included New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Glenn Phillips in the squad. Glenn Phillips, who has played 1 Test and 25 T20s for New Zealand, has yet to play in an IPL match.
