Lockie Ferguson Tests Positive for Coronavirus and Ruled Out from T20 Blast 

Lockie Ferguson tests positive for coronavirus while playing in the vitality blast of England’s domestic T20 Blast 2021 tournament. Due to this, the pacer could not play for Yorkshire in the quarter-final against Sussex.

A tweet from Vitality Blast on Tuesday (August 24th) reported that Luke Ferguson had been attacked by Corona. They tweeted that they wished him well.

The tweet said, “Unfortunately Lockie Ferguson will not be able to play in the quarter-finals tonight as the Covid-19 test is positive. Get well soon, Lockie. ‘

Lockie Ferguson was one of the mainstays of Yorkshire’s bowling attack in the ongoing T20 Blast. He has taken 14 wickets in 10 matches for Yorkshire in an 8.28 economy. Yorkshire lost to Sussex by 5 wickets on the day of Ferguson’s dismissal. He will not be able to play until Corona is negative.

Lockie Ferguson is in the New Zealand squad for the T20 World Cup 2021 to be held in October-November this year. For this reason, Cricket New Zealand did not include him in the Bangladesh and Pakistan tour teams before the World Cup.
