The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to host six matches of the first round of the T20 World Cup 2021 in Muscat, Oman. Oman to host 6 matches of T20 World Cup 2021 first round. They sat in a meeting in Delhi to discuss how many matches could be held in Oman.

Oman is in Group B with Bangladesh, Scotland and Papua New Guinea in the 1st round. Muscat is likely to host six Group B league matches. The matches will be held only at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground.

Group A includes Sri Lanka, Ireland, the Netherlands and Namibia. The matches of this group will be held in Abu Dhabi. IPL matches will end on October 8 at Abu Zayed Stadium. The matches of the 1st round of the World Cup will start here after 1 week.

The matches of the 1st round will be held from 18 to 22 October. 4 teams will go to Super 12. Super 12 will start from October 23. The schedule of the tournament will be published soon.
