Indian Premier League: Rajasthan Royals Signed Tabraiz Shamsi in IPL 2021
Rajasthan Royals signed Tabraiz Shamsi to play the rest of the IPL 2021. The franchise has confirmed the inclusion of the South African spinner in the squad. Tabraiz Shamsi has played in IPL before. He was part of the IPL in 2016 for Virat Kohli’s team. He played 4 matches for Royal Challengers Bangalore and took 3 wickets.
Rajasthan will not get the services of Joffra Archer, Joss Butler, and Ben Stokes in the rest of the IPL. The IPL will start again on September 19 with a match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Rajasthan will play their 7th match against Punjab Kings on September 21.
Originally, Tabraiz Shamsi has been included in the Rajasthan squad as an alternative to Australian fast bowler Andrew Tye in the IPL 2021. The tie will not come to play in this IPL. Because the pacer is a bit upset mentally after spending several months away from his family and not getting a place in the World Cup squad. As a result, he said, it was a difficult decision to withdraw from the IPL.
Shamsi has experience playing 173 T20 matches. He took 173 wickets at an average of 22.42 and an economy of 6.17. He recently played for The Oval Invisibles in The Hundred. He took 6 wickets in 6 matches.
