At the helm of Nepal’s T20 World Cup campaign is Rohit Paudel, who brings not only skill but also leadership qualities to the table. As a young and dynamic captain, Paudel is poised to lead by example and inspire his teammates to excel on the biggest stage of them all.

The selection process for Nepal’s squad was based on merit, with players being rewarded for their consistent performances. The squad features individuals who have showcased their talent and determination across various tournaments, including the ACC Premier Cup in Oman and matches against the West Indies A side.

All-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee has been in scintillating form, highlighted by his world record-equalling feat of hitting six sixes in an over against Qatar in April. Airee’s explosive batting, coupled with his bowling prowess, makes him a key player in Nepal’s lineup. Additionally, the likes of Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh add depth and firepower to the team’s batting order.

Nepal’s squad features a blend of experienced campaigners and young talents eager to make their mark on the international stage. Gulshan Jha, fresh off his appearance at the U19 World Cup earlier in the year, joins the senior team alongside 19-year-old Pratis GC. Their inclusion underscores Nepal’s commitment to nurturing young talent and building for the future.

While Nepal’s squad is dominated by young players, some seasoned campaigners bring valuable experience to the team. Sompal Kami, the only player from Nepal’s debut T20 World Cup campaign in 2014, lends his expertise as a fast bowling all-rounder. Joining him is cult hero Karan KC, providing leadership and guidance to the younger members of the squad.

Left-arm orthodox spinner Lalit Rajbanshi assumes the role of leading Nepal’s spin attack, bringing a wealth of experience and skill to the table. Rajbanshi’s ability to control the middle overs and take crucial wickets will be instrumental in Nepal’s quest for success in the tournament.
